On 4th July, 2012, we did part of the Jubilee Walk. It was a grey day and rained on us intermittently, but not enough to deter us. Starting at London Bridge, we walked upstream, stopping for coffee in Southwark Cathedral Refectory. Rain decided us on going to the Tate Modern, but by the time we got there it had stopped, so we walked on as far as Westminster Bridge and then crossed the river. Lunch was taken in the Methodist Central Hall (we would recommend it if you don't know it) and we continued through St. James Park, enjoying the cygnets, and seeing some of the preparations for the Olympics. As you can see from the pictures, the Olympic Rings are already hanging on Tower Bridge. London has a beautiful skyline, even when the weather isn't good.
